University officials, faculty and students will be able to take part in the anniversary of one of Oxford's most treasured events.

The Thacker Mountain Radio Show will be celebrating its 10th anniversary on the Ole Miss campus tonight at 5:30 p.m. Coming from Nutt Auditorium, the radio show will feature an array of special guests, including Barry Hannah, Jack Pendarvis, Julia Reed and the Sincere Ramblers.

In addition to these guests, the anniversary show will also feature many authors and musicians who have appeared on previous shows.

The show has hosted a wide range of talent over the last decade, including musician Elvis Costello and emerging authors Sue Monk Kidd and Rick Bragg.

Thacker Mountain Radio has enjoyed a great amount of success since its debut 10 years ago. The show that was originated by two Southern studies graduate students now goes in front of a live studio audience every Thursday during the fall and spring seasons.

The show has received numerous awards, with one of the most prestigious being the Mississippi Governor's Award for Excellence in the Arts.
