Ole Miss falls in SEC tourney

By Kory Keys | The Daily Mississippian

Ole Miss went into halftime with a slim one-point lead only to relinquish it shortly thereafter en route to a 76-65 loss to Tennessee in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament in Nashville.

Things looked good for the Rebels coming out of the break after they scored on a designed alley-oop to Murphy Holloway. After that possession, the Rebel offense struggled to string together positive possessions.

The Volunteers received 17 points from JP Prince, 16 points and 15 rebounds from Wayne Chism, and 15 points from Cameron Tatum.

The Rebels were paced by 16 points from Chris Warren, 15 points from Zach Graham, and 13 points from Terrico White.

On the downside, Ole Miss was an abysmal 12-of-25 from the free throw line while Warren amassed nine turnovers.

Notes:
- Following the loss, ESPN's Joe Lunardi moved the Rebels to his "First Team Out" which keeps Ole Miss clearly in the hunt for an at-large bid.
- Eniel Polynice dressed out but did not play.
